The year of Our Lord 2011 has been a long year for me and for my family. In April I was told that my job at NOAA was scheduled for elimination at the end of the fiscal year. That led to a summer full of increased tension as I searched for a new job. The blessing that came about at the last minute was that I was hired on by a small group at the University of Colorado to be their Laboratory Coordinator/Manager.
This change has a lot a new opportunities for me including upcoming trips to some of my old haunts: Summit Camp Greenland, Mauna Loa Hawaii and Niwot Ridge Colorado. There are plans in the works for some new adventures in the future. I will get back into updating this blog more as time goes by.
